(Photo by Allen Quiles, “Moving Forward, but Looking Back”)
Shooting of a sight.
Shooting through the sight.
Shooting of the sign.
Shooting across the sky.
Shooting in the night.
Dimly lit little ornaments swiping across the dark blue glasses.
There is a world opening under the metallic arch bridge.
Why are there street shops latching around the vacant castle?
A million lives born and die.
Stop telling me to resist.
Muffled noises buzzing behind the ear.
Rhythmic tap dance pulling left and right.
The subway is accelerating off the cliff.
Clackedy, clackedy, clackedy, clack.
How warm is that smile thrown halfway into my lap.
There is a heart there I must steal.
What is this warm sensation pluming on the side of my jeans?
Look down, look sharp, did I got on crack?
Bang Bang Bang, I think they just opened up again.
Am I too alive right now?
Clear creek with splashes of light levitating on its folding flutter.
Is this what cleanness feels like?
stop, Stop, STOP! Stop, stop.
I need to be a little less alive.
How can I feel so much and feel nothing at all?
